From surrealism to abstraction
January 16th - February 28th 2020

Always considered an outstanding figure in the Catalan surrealist movement, Jaume Sans (1914-1987) had an artistic career that went far beyond this style. The exhibition we present, with more than 70 works, including paintings, drawings and sculptures, proposes a broad and complete journey through the different stylistic registers that Sans cultivated over three discontinuous decades of artistic production in which he moved from the surrealist style of the 30's to informalism in the 60's, passing through an abstraction, halfway between geometry and biomorphism, in the 50's.
